To provide focused healthcare education and to promote proactive health and wellness with health equity for all.
Supportive Aging’s mission aligns with the World Health Organization's core objective by providing focused healthcare education to stakeholders in four key areas - Healthcare Providers, Communities, Individuals and Organizations.
The World Health Organization’s core objective is the “attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health” and defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity” (World Health Organization [WHO], 2019, p. 1).
Healthcare providers: To ensure that services provided to clients are evidence-based, client-centered, and delivered in a cost-efficient manner.
Communities: To support healthy living of all people, promote health education development, contribute to community well-being and improve quality of life.
Individuals: To lead full, productive, and purposeful lives, with an emphasis on participation in occupations or daily life activities they find purposeful and meaningful.
Organizations: To promote health, well-being, and participation for all they serve, while managing cost, reducing health disparities, and reducing negative impacts on health systems.
