Dr. Blair has practiced occupational therapy for over 33 years in a multitude of settings including acute care, inpatient rehab, home health, skilled nursing and assisted living. Much of her 33+ years of experience was spent as the OT clinical educator for Novant Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Her area of expertise is frailty prevention and helping older adults to age well. Susan maintains AOTA Board Certification in both Physical Rehabilitation and Gerontology. She is a requested national level presenter, published author and has collaborated on clinical research with several academic OT programs. Susan has completed evidence-based research with older adults in both rural and urban areas to determine whether perceptions of frailty change with community education by Occupational Therapy. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Pfeiffer University where she serves as the Capstone coordinator for the University’s Occupational Therapy program.
Grant Blair - COO
Grant has both a corporate and an entrepreneurial background. Having spent 15 years in the corporate world building and managing successful sales forces both domestic and international, he has a proven record of anticipating market trends. Grant’s skills in business processes and organization as well as public relations have enabled him to start and operate two successful businesses in addition to Supportive Aging. His prior experience with healthcare providers and organizations gives him a unique perspective of the needs of today’s changing healthcare environment. Grant shares Dr. Blair’s passion for caring for others affected by life’s challenges. He feels that now more than ever, there is a need for access to focused healthcare education to maintain good health and promote productive living.
